Fall Sports Season at Invictus!
Our rapidly expanding athletics program had 3 competitive teams this fall with over 30 participating student athletes!
As new teams in the Bay Area Charter Schools Athletic Conference, girls volleyball, boys soccer, and cross country runners have made major league strides on the court, field, and course, which we can see reflected in their season starts and finishes. They show how tremendous grit, strength of team, and awesome coaching can lead to incredible gains not only in sport, but life.
Girls Volleyball
Our girls volleyball team had 12 players and was coached by Emily Limon.
“These girls are a story of how perseverance, resilience, teamwork, and hard work make everyone better, not only as volleyball players, but in life. They have overcome challenges and early defeats to improve with each game and win more and more sets. They should be proud of how far they’ve come and see how the same kinds of efforts will also lead to increasing success in any part of their lives!” - Athletic Director Young
Boys Soccer
Our boys soccer team had 14 players and was coached by Chloe Conacher and Sam Tatum.
“It's been wonderful to see how quickly the team has gelled in just a few weeks. They've learned to embrace a love of training and competing together, and have really taken ownership of the program. A few of the guys are already talking about their desire to build upon this first season and compete again next fall -- and as a coach that's exactly the kind of attitude you hope to foster.” -Coach Tatum
Co-Ed Cross Country
Our Cross Country team had 6 boys and 2 girls and was coached by Ashley Fazio.
“The Invictus XC team demonstrates endurance, strength and perseverance! They practice three days per week and compete two times per month. They started the year with a mile try out and now easily run 5k's!” -Coach Fazio
